I just bought Car Gauge Pro. Is there a document available which fully explains how to set up this app? Specifically I need to know how to select the tools I want while out of the car, when not linked to the OBD adapter. My hope is to be able to setup all the screens with all the tools I will need in advance, and this also means getting them positioned and sized the way I want. I have fiddled with the app and figured out a few things, but by no means everything. Can someone help?

Hello,
Offline Pids is only available when connected, that way the app will generate the supported Pids. I will make more improvements with this in the future. Once connected, you can disconnect and add gauges as long as you do not exit. I prefer the connecting method so you can eliminate all the unnecessary Pids.
In the Menu * Gauge Center is for adding and deleting gauges (Connection required for Pid List) * Gauge Control Panel is for resizing and moving gauges.

If "connected" means actually be communicating with the OBD bluetooth adapter, then I cannot setup Car Gauge Pro prior to having the car available. I had expected to be able to select all the gauges, place them where I want, etc., beforehand. If this is not possible, may I request a refund?

You have 15 minutes from the time of download to return an application purchased on Google Play for a full refund.

The subject car was not here when I bought the app, but even if it was, 15 minutes isn't long enough to find out that the app can't be setup without being attached to an actual car. If this is how it works currently, and if you will not give a refund, I hope one of your improvements will be to re-engineer the app so it can be setup in advance. If nothing else, a user should be able to pre-position all the tools he needs without making the car owner wait on this.

Car Gauge Pro 3.64.47 Now includes Offline Pids Import. You can add gauges offline without the need of connecting to a vehicle module.
Pitfall: Not all of the Pids are supported by a vehicle. Recommended Method is connecting to a vehicle which allows the app to generate all of the supported pids.

This is very good news; I just updated to 3.64.47 -- thanks!
So now let me see if I can get the app setup. Do you know if anyone has written any sort of help file for those of us who are "newbies" with this app?

Meanwhile, you can check the Application Tips and Hints at this forum.

I have already read the Tips and Hints section and while it was somewhat helpful, by no means did it answer all the questions. I look forward to that help file and will wait until it's available before I try to do any more setup on this app. Thanks for your efforts!
