I cannot get GM PIDs to load for my 1996 GMC 1500. I used my existing Chinese Bluetooth dongle with no success so I just purchased a OBDLink MX Bluetooth dongle and it still will not load PIDs. Why can I not get this to work? I tried using all three addresses that appear when I try connecting (all of them say 10) and I tried scanned all PIDs and auto scan pre-selected PIDs. Nothing will work no matter what combination.

Yeah, Same problem here with a 1997 Chevy Vortec 5.7L. The only response I get when scanning is: "No Pids Supported." I wish there was some way to get help with this issue.

So after emailing with a scantech person, I was told that 96-98 chevy's are not compatible due to gm not making the OBDII port full function for all modules in the cpu

The android version of Dash Command with the GM pids + a bafx 34t5 bluetooth scanner reads GM.CMPRET on 96/97 Vortecs.

Sorry, I was looking at the wrong notes (one of the other 382 apps I tried). The pid you want is gm.engine.cr, it's there and it works.
